Oxera announces today that Dr Sebastian Wernicke has joined its data science leadership team and will be based in Germany.

• Sebastian has over 15 years of experience in data science, machine learning and AI.
• Sebastian has broad sector experience and is a recognised thought leader in his field.

Sebastian specialises in leveraging data science, machine learning and AI to enable data-driven strategic decision making. He has a background in both consulting and executive leadership roles; demonstrates extensive technical expertise; holds a comprehensive understanding of strategic issues; and has broad sector experience across manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceuticals, automotive, telecommunications, technology, financial services, private equity, and consumer goods.

Sebastian has led and overseen hundreds of successful, data-driven initiatives that have sustainably increased profits and reduced the risks of critical decisions. He also regularly delivers keynotes on data and AI at both corporate events (for example, Mars, Unilever and Red Bull) and academic events, including at leading universities such as Wharton and Stanford, as well as speaking at highly regarded conferences such as TED, where he has demonstrated his thought leadership in the field.
