Join our dynamic Competition team as a Graduate Analyst where you’ll work on a broad range of projects across a variety of skills and locations, growing your knowledge across multiple disciplines and sectors.
Our Competition team offers the opportunity to work on high-impact antitrust cases and mergers, providing economic analysis to clients across various sectors.
You will collaborate closely with legal teams to assess competition risks, gather data, and develop strategies that address antitrust concerns, shape case outcomes and quantify damages. Involved in all stages of litigation and merger investigations, you’ll contribute to expert evidence, submissions to competition authorities and remedy design. This will involve leveraging econometrics, industrial organisation and other economic theories to support clients in navigating complex competition issues.
Your role in the Competition team:
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to resolve complex economics issues
- Conduct empirical and quantitative analysis in Excel, Stata, R and/or Python
- Write reports, presentations and articles, independently or in conjunction with others
We’re looking for:
- An undergraduate degree (essential) and a postgraduate degree (desirable) in Economics, with a minimum of 2:1 UK or its equivalent
- A solid background in microeconomics (desirable)
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- A collaborative team player approach
- Fluency in spoken and written English. An additional European language is desirable, and is a requirement for those based in offices other than Oxford, London or Brussels
- Relevant work experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Stata and/or R (desirable)
