Javier Hidalgo Ruano Analyst

Javier is a member of Oxera’s Competition team. He applies economic and analytical methods to address a variety of client challenges. He has worked on projects focused on damage quantification and the ratification of expert reports before courts, as well as on a variety of analytical projects across different industries. He has undertaken analysis estimating the economic impact of different policies and competition infringements in various industries, such as automotive and pharmaceuticals.

Before joining Oxera, Javier graduated with an MSc in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he specialised in applied microeconometrics and industrial economics. He is currently conducting his PhD at Universidad Complutense, researching topics relating to applied economics.
