We are delighted to announce the promotion of Nicole Robins to Partner to head up Oxera’s State Aid practice from Brussels.

Nicole has considerable in-depth experience in state aid, and has been instrumental in making Oxera the market-leading economics and finance consultancy in state aid. In addition to providing advice to clients on state aid compliance, she advises beneficiaries, complainants and member states during European Commission investigations and in appeals of its decisions. She has also been appointed as expert on state aid matters in court hearings.

Nicole teaches the state aid module at King’s College’s postgraduate course in Economics for Competition Law. She also has regular speaking engagements and has published on state aid matters in the leading competition journals.

In early summer 2017, she moved from Oxera’s Oxford office to the Brussels office, to play a bigger role in promoting the firm’s offering on competition matters, and her promotion to Partner reflects her strong contribution in this area.
