Oxera announces today the appointment of Dr Leonardo Mautino and Dr Barbara Veronese to its Board.

Barbara and Leonardo will work alongside Oxera’s Chair, Dr Luis Correia da Silva and the Board, to further support the firm’s ambition in continuing the expansion of its European market presence and harnessing economic insight to answer the challenges facing business and society.

A gifted economist and business leader, Leonardo joined Oxera in 2000 and specialises in the application of regulatory economics across infrastructure sectors. He leads Oxera’s work throughout Europe and further afield in regulatory incentive design, regulatory policy and regulatory due diligence.

Leonardo says ‘at a time where many markets are facing complex challenges, Oxera’s talented people offer clarity in navigating difficult decisions. I’m thrilled to be joining the Board to aid Oxera in its ambition, and to continue its international expansion as a leading economic consultancy’.

A highly experienced and respected economist, Barbara is recognised for her strong profile in competition, litigation and auction advisory services having worked across jurisdictions on a variety of complex and high stake matters.

Barbara says ‘I am beyond delighted to join the Board a few years into my journey with our inspiring Partnership. I will focus on driving Oxera’s growth ambitions across Europe and beyond, at this momentous junction for the wider economy’.
