Oxera Consulting LLP announces the opening today of its Paris office, to be headed up by Partner, Pascale Déchamps
We continue our expansion in Europe with the opening of our office in Paris, adding a seventh location to complement our network of European offices in Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, London, Oxford and Rome.
Pascale Déchamps will play a key role in Oxera’s rapidly expanding international presence by leading a team of French-speaking experts from a range of sectors and areas of specialisms. She will help to cement the firm’s position in the French market where Oxera advises corporate clients and law firms on a range of competition, regulatory and litigation matters.
Pascale has extensive experience as a competition economist, advising companies on how to deal with antitrust or merger investigations conducted by the European Commission or competition authorities in the EU, in particular in France.
She has also provided assistance to companies that have received state aid, in the context of investigations by the European Commission. She has experience in a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceutical products and devices, telecoms, agricultural products, distribution, semi-conductors, construction materials, industrial products, energy and consumer products.
Pascale is a non-governmental adviser to the French competition authority. She is listed in The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists 2018 and in Who’s Who Legal Consulting Experts: Economic Consulting – Competition Economists (2018). Feedback from the market is that she is: ‘an “outstanding economist”, her knowledge of EU and French merger investigations is “second to none”’. She is also one of ten female economics consultants globally selected in Women in Antitrust 2016, issued by GCR (Global Competition Review).
Commenting on the announcement, Dr Luis Correia da Silva, Oxera Partner and Board member said:
Oxera’s objective and insightful work has no international boundaries. This is another significant milestone in our ambitions, and I am delighted that our first-rate team will continue to provide advisory and expert testimony support to so many clients in France.
Pascale added:
I am thrilled by the prospect of Oxera having an office in Paris. We have been working with French clients on a range of matters for a long while and having an establishment in France will allow us to be even closer to our clients and expand our product offering. Having worked 13 years in Brussels and my entire career with French clients, it is also a logical and exciting step for me to be leading Oxera’s office in Paris.
