Oxera announces today two senior promotions: Mohammed Khalil based in London and Nicole Rosenboom based in Amsterdam.
- Nicole specialises in competition economics and antitrust damages.
- Mohammed is an expert in commercial disputes, international arbitration, and state aid cases.
In recognition of their respective accomplishments, Oxera—a leading economics and finance consultancy—has promoted both Mohammed Khalil and Nicole Rosenboom to Partner. The promotions will expand Oxera’s leadership team in competition economics, commercial litigation and international arbitration.
Nicole joined Oxera five years ago and is a renowned expert in her field: competition economics and antitrust damages. Her specialist knowledge guides clients on determining the relevant market, dominant positions and abuse, and cartel damages claims; she also speaks regularly at conferences, and writes for a number of economics journals. Her experience in cases cover a variety of sectors including energy, hospitality (specifically the hotel sector), supermarkets and the media. Nicole has a comprehensive knowledge of the legal matters pertaining to each case, and has significant experience in advising clients and their legal representatives.
Commenting on her promotion, Nicole said she is ‘thrilled to join the Partnership’ and in her new role, she will to continue her work ‘on antitrust and antitrust litigation for clients in the Netherlands and beyond, with a particular focus on the interplay of sustainability and competition’.
Mohammed joined Oxera in 2013 as an Analyst and now leads the Oxera teams working on commercial disputes, international arbitration, and state aid cases. He is recognised by Who’s Who Legal as a Future Leader in arbitration, and has acted as a named expert on several high-profile litigation and arbitration cases. Mohammed has vast experience in damages quantification and the preparation of compelling expert reports and testimonies on a range of cases involving breach of contract, contract termination and lost profits, reputational harm, and shareholder disputes.
Looking ahead to his new role, Mohammed said he is ‘very excited to join the Partnership’ and ‘looks forward to further supporting clients on commercial disputes and international arbitration cases in London, Paris and beyond’.
Commenting on the promotions, Deborah Stump, Oxera Partner and Joint Chief Operating Officer said she is ‘delighted to celebrate Mohammed and Nicole’s success in joining the Partnership’ and ‘looks forward to seeing them harness their expertise and talents in their new roles to bring a wealth of insights to Oxera’s clients.’
