Estimating the cost of capital for Italian electricity and gas networks
Over the last six years, since the start of the global financial crisis, a number of unusual events have affected capital markets and macroeconomic conditions across the globe, including in the eurozone countries. This has created new challenges for regulators in estimating required rates of return, which are explicitly addressed in the Oxera report. The findings of the Oxera report have informed AEEGSI’s current consultation on the WACC methodology.
