Gerardo Masi : Analyst

Gerardo is a member of Oxera’s Analytics team. He uses economics,  econometrics and analytical tools to provide solutions to a range of client issues, and has worked on projects spanning impact assessments, commercial disputes and state aid. He has undertaken analysis estimating damages compensation in the context of state aid in the aviation sector, supported clients in carrying out impact assessments, and advised on assessing the impact of overcharge.

Before joining Oxera, Gerardo graduated with an MSc in Economics and Finance from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, where he specialised in applied microeconomics and econometrics.

  • Advised an international ICT company on an impact assessment in view of the creation of a new plant (2022)

  • Advised a client in the railway sector following a litigation in the context of alleged overcharge (2023)

  • Analysis for two airports to estimate the compensation to be granted to airlines in the context of Public Service Obligation (‘PSO’) (2022)

  • Assessed the damages compensation for a highway concession holder following a contractual breach

  • Assessed the damages compensation post-COVID-19 for an airport in relation to possible state aid issues
