As a member of Oxera’s Analytics team, Vesa specialises in using advanced data science and programming techniques to provide data-driven economic insights with modern, interactive outputs. He has applied these skills across a wide variety of cases, including energy markets modelling, cartel litigations and merger reviews. Vesa has a particular focus on understanding unsupervised learning algorithms.

Before joining Oxera in 2020, Vesa completed a Master’s degree at the University of Amsterdam, specialising in Markets and Regulation, Behavioural Economics and Game Theory. He has experience as a web developer and as an intern at the Dutch gambling authority, where he provided data analysis.
