Yuhao Zhou Senior Consultant

Yuhao is a member of Oxera’s Finance & Valuation team, and specialises in advising companies and law firms on valuation issues in litigations and international arbitrations. He has worked on cases across different jurisdictions, including litigations before the UK, Dutch, French and Chinese courts, as well as arbitrations under the LCIA, ICC and ICSID rules. He is also a core member of the IP and High-tech team at Oxera, and has led the Oxera team in multiple IP dispute cases advising telecoms and pharmaceutical clients from Europe, USA and China.

Yuhao holds a Master’s degree in Managerial and Financial Economics from HEC Paris, and an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Before joining Oxera, he worked in Hong Kong and mainland China at China Asset Management, China CITIC Bank International and PwC.

Yuhao is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has completed the qualification exams of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

  • Leading the Oxera team in quantifying FRAND royalty rates and alleged damages in a patent infringement case between a global mobile handset manufacturer and a Chinese patent owner (2022–)

  • Advising a global pharmaceutical company on the magnitude of its exposure to alleged damages claims for infringing vaccine patents owned by other pharmaceutical companies (2022–)

  • Leading the Oxera team in quantifying the alleged losses suffered by a global mining company on its port facilities due to the alleged breach of a bilateral investment treaty (2021–)

  • Led the Oxera team in quantifying the alleged damages in an ICC arbitration between a European livestock processing equipment manufacturer and a South American meat producer (2021–22)

  • Led the Oxera team in quantifying the damages suffered by an airport ground handling service provider due to contractual breaches and asset misappropriations by a south-central Asian state (2021–22)

  • Led the Oxera team in quantifying FRAND royalty rates and alleged damages in an ICC arbitration between a major owner of 2G, 3G and 4G patents, and an Asian handset manufacturer (2020–23)
